  • A consortium of churches in Redmond is beginning a weekly meal program for the needy. Jericho Table will begin serving Thursday dinners at Redmond Senior Center Nov. 29.
  • Deschutes County and the city of Redmond are continuing their conversations regarding the future of 1,800 acres of county land east of the city. A consultant, with city help, is developing a master plan for the area and talks with the county and ODOT are hoped to result in ways to mitigate transportation impacts of development.
  • Redmond is losing one of its nonprofit thrift shops. St. Vincent de Paul is closing its doors on retail sales, but continuing its efforts to help the needy with rental and utility costs. St.Vincent hopes to reopen when a cost-efficient location can be found.
