Robert Evett
June 24, 1935-Nov. 25, 2007

Robert E. “Bud” Evett, 72, died Nov. 25, 2007, from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. A private service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Evett was born June 24, 1935, in Wheeler, Texas, to Robert and Mable (Daniels) Evett. He grew up in McFarland, Calif. and served in the Army during the Korean War. He lived in San Jose, Calif. for about five years, lived in Santa Cruz, Calif. for 15 years, and moved to Redmond, Ore. in 1973. Mr. Evett married Terry Murphy in Saratoga, Calif. on Dec. 12, 1958 and was a carpet and flooring installer for 40 years in the Redmond area for Al Baily Flooring, Sears, and the Carpet Store. He also owned Appliance Savers in Redmond from about 1986 to 1992.

Mr. Evett loved fishing, was an avid reader and history buff, and enjoyed woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife Terry Evett of Crooked River Ranch, Ore.; daughters Brandy Rhodes of Crooked River Ranch, Ore., Shelly Evett-Stuart of Sandy, Ore., and Vicki Rogers of Sandy, Ore.; brother Richard Evett of Portland, Ore.; sister Loreen Best of Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Redmond and Sisters.

Autumn Funerals handled the arrangements.
