Redmond Redux

In this week's news:

  • Humane Society of Redmond is out from under its staggering debt load, thanks to a secured loan from Deschutes County. But it's still struggling to meet its overhead each month and relying on a major focus of fundraising to meet that goal.
  • Redmond High School's Marine JROTC program just wrapped up its first trimester. Next trimester 87 kids have signed up, nearly meeting the 100-student minimum organizers said they'd need within two years of kick-off.
  • Redmond School District is holdng a forum to seek input on the preliminary design for its new high school. Early conceptual drawings will be available, as well as staff and community design team members, to answer questions. Forum is Dec. 1, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the district offices, 145 S.E. Salmon.
