Lambert Charles McDaniel (Skip)
January 6, 1950 - June 14, 2012
He was born in Bend, Ore., to Jeff and Glenda McDaniel. He was raised at the Summer Lake Hot Springs in Paisley, Ore.
In 1968, he married Mary Andrews in Reno, Nev. They raised three children in Redmond: Glenda Rorabaugh, Sherry Liebe and Skip McDaniel -- aka Blue Boy Koue’. In 1986, they were divorced.
In 1987, he married, Judy Schoonmaker. They divorced in 2004. He lived in Redmond until his death. He had an especially close relationship with his mother, she was his dearest confidant.
He enjoyed being out in the woods. He loved creek fishing, (with flies tied by his brother, John) and tent camping with his family on Bear Creek and the Chewaucan River. He often had a litter of stray kittens visiting him on his back porch; all pets loved him. Like his parents, he loved to grow a garden and passed that on to his children and grandchildren.
Skip loved being a skidder operator and began his career as soon as he turned 18. He was devastated when the woods closed. He built himself a firewood business and loved to going to the forest, getting wood, sawing it up and selling it. He enjoyed meeting new people while delivering his firewood. He worked at Wal-Mart for several years until he retired in December 2011. He joked about joining the Army when he retired. He was looking forward to being able to take naps whenever he wanted. He planned a big retirement trip to Missouri to visit his family and get to know his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Glenda McDaniel; brothers, John McDaniel, Ed McDaniel; children, Glenda Rorabaugh, Sherry Liebe, Skip McDaniel; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He had two ex-wives; Mary McDaniel and Judy McDaniel; stepchildren, Ron, George, Keith Schoonmaker, and Lynn Johnston.
A memorial service was held June 18  at the Redmond Community Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Human Society of Redmond, P.O. Box 1404, Redmond, OR 97756.
Autumn Funerals, Redmond, was in charge of the arrangements.

Dale Moyer
Dec. 15, 1940 - June 11, 2012
Dale Moyer of Bend passed away June 11, 2012, in Bend, surrounded by his wife and family.
Dale was born to Sam and Geneva Moyer December 15, 1940, in Gooding, Idaho. His family moved to Powell Butte in 1955. He graduated from Redmond High School in 1959, and on September 9, 1962, he married Pat Hollenbeck, and together they raised three children.
Dale worked for Country Fresh Dairy in Redmond for 13 years, then was a route salesman for Franz Bakery until he retired in 1994. He then increased his herd of cattle and became a full time farmer, a life he loved. Dale was a man of great integrity, a hard worker and he never met a stranger.
