The Humane Society of Redmond Thrift & Gifts’ third annual Christmas Boutique and Pet Food Drive is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Redmond’s ice skating rink is scheduled to open for its second season Nov. 16 at 5 p.m.

Aquatic field trip
Redmond Area Park and Recreation District will offer a no school day field trip to the Madras Aquatic Center on Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $20.

Civil War fundraiser
The 12th annual Chimps Inc. Civil War Football Fundraiser will be held Nov. 24.
Support rescued animals while watching University of Oregon and Oregon State battle it out on three big screen TVs, shop a holiday silent auction, and enjoy a meal with friends, all while never leaving Central Oregon.
