Blast nearly flattens buidling
This week in history: "Yesterday forenoon, workmen engaged in digging an excavation in the backyard of the WC Walker residence on the corner of 6th and F Streets set off a heavy blast which damaged the house and nearly wrecked the woodshed. It was miraculous that more damage was not done to the property as big rocks and logs were hurled in all directions from the force of the explosion." Redmond Spokesman, Feb. 20, 1913.
