Ted grew up on the Hall family ranch  just west of Prairie City.  He joined the Navy in 1945, serving in the SeaBees as Shore Patrol in the Philippine Islands at the end of World War II.  After his discharge, he returned to Prairie City where he met Betty Jane Pearcey, the love of his life.  They were married on September 25, 1947.  They had four children, Sharon, Jane, Vickie and George, Jr. Ted worked on the ranch until they sold out in 1959. A way with horses

It's true, Redmond has its very own 'Horse Whisperer,' a trainer who draws interest from all over the U.S., keen to understand his way with animals -- and their owners.
See this week's issue to learn about Clint Surplus, owner of Truhorsemanship Ranch.
