She is survived by her husband, Gerold Barrett; three sons, Gary, Bruce, and Mark Barrett, all of whom were at her side. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Jean Stone, as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Delpha was born December 1, 1927 in Salem, Oregon. Her father worked at Kay Woolen Mills and her mother was a successful restaurant and motel owner. Delpha attended Phagan's Beauty School in Salem and she and her mother owned a successful hair styling salon in Salem. She was heavily involved in supporting her sons' early entrepreneurial activities as well as her husband's political life as mayor of Redmond.  She was always busy volunteering in the kitchen at First Baptist Church. Her life beautifully portrayed her love and continued support of her family as she modeled the love of Christ in her service to others.
