Nancy Jordan
Sept. 9, 1921 - May 30, 2014
If one were to described a gracious southern lady, our mom, Nancy Ellen Jordan would have every quality listed: quiet, graceful, confident, reserved, but, always in command. She was a proud Navy wife who kept us all together as we crisscrossed the country with three boys, and finally a daughter, in tow. She was always there to give us a boost or a boot whenever we needed it! Our successes in life were in large part due to the characteristics she instilled in us during our formative years. She rarely complained about anything, and made a great life for her and our dad after we all left the nest. She was really lost when he passed in 2006, but she continued to set a great example of how to live a good life. Regretfully a stroke last year took away the best parts of her, and she slipped away from us and passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus and our daddy on Friday night, May 30th. We were so blessed to have such a wonderful, amazing mom and have a lifetime of great memories for comfort.
Nancy was born on September 9, 1921 in Townville, South Carolina, to Daniel Ralston Ledbetter and Mary Grace Ledbetter.
Nancy is survived by one sister, Martha Sims; her sons, Michael, Cleve, and Mark, and daughter, Lena Norton; nine grands; and 11 great-grands.
A memorial service is being planned by the Jordan family 10:00 a.m. July 18 at  Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Nancy's life can be made to The Salvation Army or Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Violet ‘Tillie’ Deinert
Oct. 9, 1921 - May 31, 2014
Violet "Tillie" (Bain) Deinert passed away May 31, 2014 in Redmond, Oregon. She was born October 9, 1921 in Antelope, Oregon, to Ronald & Cecilia (Frasier) Bain.
Tillie was the youngest of six children. She attended school and graduated from Antelope. After graduation she worked as the only telephone operator in Antelope. In 1941, she married Henry "Hank" Deinert. and they continued to live and farm in the Antelope area.
In later years, Hank worked road construction all over Oregon. After retirement, they moved to Redmond where her family lived. Tillie always had a very active part in the lives of her six nieces and nephews, Bonnie McGilvray, Beverly Kraus, Norman Scott, Norma Kraft, Buster Bain, and Ron Bain, who survive her. She also leaves one sister-in-law, Kathryn Bain of Redmond; and a cousin, John Little of London, England.
Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Hank; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
The family would like to thank Ashley Manor and Hospice for their kind and loving care of Tillie the past few years.
There will be a private service. Bel-Air Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
