Juanita Edwards went home to be with the Lord March 13, 2015.
Juanita was born in Poplarville, Mississippi on March 14, 1920 to Waddie and Edna Buckley. She attended school in Miss. and moved to Oregon with her family in 1934.
She married Lawrence ‘Larry’ Edwards in LaGrande OR, on October 12, 1938.
She was active in Christian work most of her adult life; was director of Released Time Education in 'San Jose, CA. and in Crescent City, CO. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, David Edwards and wife, Kay; two grandsons, Doug Edwards, Douglas WY, Mark Edwards, Douglas, WY; brother, Russell and wife, Blanch, Crescent City CA; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son, mother, father, two brothers, sister and grandson.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, at Redmond Memorial Cemetery, 3545 South Canal Blvd., Redmond OR.

John H. Green
July 3, 1931 - March 19, 2015
John Green passed away in Redmond, OR March, 19, 2015. He was born in Ashland, OR July 3, 1931. His family was by his side and grateful that they were able to care for him the last four months of his life.
He previously lived in Ashland, WI for many years. He had many kind, loyal and loving friends there. He had been serving on the city council and county board. Previously, he worked in the lumber industry his entire working life. He married his first wife, Shirley in 1948. They had three children, Phyllis, Gary and Sandra.
He is survived by his current wife, Margaret; his children and spouses, Phyllis (Bruce) Storey, Gary (Marylou) Green, Sandra (Dennis) Williams; and his brother, Robert (Shirley) Green.
There will be a private family burial in Eugene, OR March 26, 2015 at Westlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 515 NE DeKalb Ave., Bend, OR 97701.

Gordon I. Bentson Aug. 30, 1917 - Feb. 23, 2015 In Loving Memory: Husband, Father, Friend Gordon I. Bentson, 97, passed away February 23, 2015, in Medford, OR. He was born August 30, 1917, in Sidney, MT, to Anna and Peter Bentson. He served in World War II as a Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army Air Corps and received full honors. Gordon married his wife, Bea on August 29, 1969. He owned the Coast to Coast Store in Redmond, OR, for 23 years. He then worked for the State of Oregon Bureau of Labor as an inspector until he retired. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Medford Elks #1168. He enjoyed fishing, R.V.’ing, and ballroom dancing. Gordon is survived by his wife, Bea Bentson; daughter, Pat Mathews (David); Step-son, Mike Bureau (Shirley); Step-daughter, Pat Alvarez (Dan); nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fern Bentson; Step- daughter, Paula Bureau Glider; daughter-in-law, Carla Bureau; two brothers, Cliff and Roy Bentson.

David Marlon McCrea passed away February 23rd in Redmond, Oregon surrounded by his family, following a hard fought illness. David was born in Redmond to David and Alberta McCrea , Aug. 26, 1961, being the second child of five. While growing up in Redmond David enjoyed the outdoors. Regular fishing and hunting trips with his father and brother were some of his happiest times even during his early adulthood. Other memorable moments he recalled were the annual beach trips to Lincoln City with the rest of the family that included his three sisters and mother.
After his graduation from Redmond High David enlisted in the Navy. After six years with working a majority of that on an aircraft carrier, David returned to Oregon settling in Hood River near his parents. Shortly following his return, David met and eventually married, Veronica Evans and had a son, Craig. His employment career included retail management, auto body work, glass work and hotel maintenance. Recently David relocated back to Redmond, following his mother after the death of his father.
He is survived by his mother, Alberta, sisters, Sherri, Carrie and Lorri all of Redmond; his brother, Clayton and son, Craig of Hood River. In fulfilling David's wishes a private memorial with family is planned in the Lincoln City area.

Kenneth Eugene James
April 8, 1928 - February 24, 2015
Kenneth Eugene James of Redmond, Oregon, passed away at his home on February 24, 2015. He was 86.
Ken was born April 8, 1928 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Wilbur and Leona (Lehn) James. He grew up in Lincoln, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1946. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy until 1947. He then attended Nebraska State Trade School, completing the Auto Body and Repair course in 1950. Ken worked as a painter in the maintenance department at Ventura County Medical Center, until retiring in 1990.
Ken was an active member of the Redmond Senior Center, a member of the Redmond Rod and Gun Club and the Bend Trap Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn F. James; his daughters, Nancy J. (husband Rick) Ius, Kristi K. (husband Michael) Gaffery and daughter in-law, Pauline James. Other survivors include 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both parents; a son, Gary E. James and a brother.
