The 8th Redmond Kiwanis Oktoberfest will be celebrated at Wild Ride Brewing in Redmond for the second year on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25 and 26. It’s a family friendly event featuring food, beverages and live music to benefit Kiwanis youth projects. Admission is free.
Friday the fun begins at 4 p.m. with more than 30 local craft beers on tap. Kiwanis members are preparing traditional Oktoberfest foods including bratwurst, hot dogs, German potato salad and cole slaw. The traditional Wild Ride food carts will also be serving. Derek Michael Marc and Double AA will perform from 6 to 10 p.m.
Saturday’s events begin at noon and continue until 10 p.m. Goodlife will perform at noon; Silver Foxes at 3 p.m. and Shaniko at 6 p.m.
Kid events include a corn hole tournament, bouncy houses and balloon artistry. Adult competitions include stein hoisting, grain tossing and a home brewing competition and demonstration.
Kiwanis Club of Redmond is sponsoring the event with Wild Ride Brewing; Incredible Events; Blue Fish Dental; Amber Wilson’s Umpqua Bank Home Loan Office and Ranch Country Outhouses.
