Redmond Proficiency Academy announced today it will host a Job and Career Fair in Redmond at RPA’s West Campus (Hugh Hartman) campus, located at 2105 W Antler Avenue. The event will run from on .
RPA high school students James Bartley, Crystall Keithcart, and Colby DeVore, members of RPA’s Ethics and Entrepreneurship class, have designed the event to benefit the community. The idea was born of their experiences in class, as students were asked to think of ventures that would benefit the community. The RPA Job and Career Fair was the result of this process.
“It’s an honor to work these student business-owners who have created a powerful platform for all students and Central Oregon community members to discover rewarding job and career opportunities in one dynamic event,” said teacher Ken Streater.
The goal of the event is to help those unemployed or seeking career growth in local communities find out more about career opportunities in Central Oregon. In order to cover a wide spectrum of opportunities, RPA is actively recruiting expert business presenters from all industries, including construction and engineering, manufacturing, holistic lifestyle practices, food and beverage service, arts, law enforcement and military, medical and dental, and more.
Representatives from the following organizations will participate as panel members: Hayes McCoy Engineering, Premium Roofing Services, Deschutes County Sheriff, Phagans, and Deschutes Brewery.
