Near or above normal temperatures predicted for July

From the National Weather Service:
       According to preliminary data received by NOAA's National Weather Service in Pendleton Oregon, temperatures at Redmond airport averaged warmer than normal during the month of June.
       The average temperature was 61.0 degrees which was 2.5 degrees above normal. High Temperatures averaged 79.5 degrees, which was 3.4 degrees above normal. The highest was 98 degrees on the 5th. Low temperatures averaged 42.6 degrees, which was 1.7 degrees above normal. The lowest was 24 degrees, on the 15th.
       There were 2 days with the low temperature below 32 degrees. On 7 days, the temperature exceeded 90 degrees.
       Precipitation totaled 0.65 inches during June, which was 0.01 inches above normal. Measurable precipitation -at least .01 inch- was received on 6 days with the heaviest, 0.29 inches reported on the 18th.
       Precipitation this year has reached 4.83 inches, which is 0.16 inches above normal. Since October, the water year precipitation at Redmond airport has been 8.4 inches, which is 0.96 inches above normal.
       The highest wind gust was 36 mph which occurred on the 8th.
       The outlook for July from NOAA's Climate Prediction Center calls for near to above normal temperatures and near to below normal precipitation. Normal highs for Redmond airport during July are 85.6 degrees and normal lows are 46.1 degrees. The 30 year normal precipitation is 0.53 inches.
