Downtown pursuit ends in foot chase,
suspect arrested lodged at Deschutes County jail

On August 12th, 2016, at approximately 1616 hours, Officer from the Redmond Police Department, attempted to stop a black 1996 passenger car, bearing Oregon license plate WYR360, for expired registration. The vehicle failed to yield to officers and a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle traveled within the downtown corridor and on the bypass at speeds between 6 and 25 mph. Officers were able to successfully deploy spike strips in the area of SE Franklin St. and E Antler Ave.
The driver, Glen Carroll, exited his vehicle as it was traveling west in the CFN parking lot. After a short foot pursuit officers were able to apprehend him. During the stop officers located over ten grams of suspected Methamphetamine. The pursuit lasted approximately six minutes. Glen Carroll was arrested for the above mentioned crimes and lodged at the Deschutes County Jail.
