Eberhard's awarded first place second year running
Eberhard’s Dairy Products, was presented with two 1 st Place Awards at the 106th Annual Oregon Dairy Industries Conference held in Salem, Oregon on April 11th & 12th, 2017.
Each year, Oregon Dairy Industries evaluates products from membership plants with the objective to promote high quality dairy products in the Pacific Northwest. The products are evaluated on flavor, appearance, body and texture.
Eberhard’s Dairy was awarded 1 st Place for Cottage Cheese Products and 1 st Place for Buttermilk. Ron Jackson, Production Manager at Eberhard’s Dairy, was on hand to accept both Awards (see photo above).
“This is the 2 nd year in a row we’ve won 1 st Place in Buttermilk”, says Jackson. “Buttermilk is a team effort and our whole Production crew works really hard to produce a high quality, great flavored product.”
Eberhard’s Head Cottage Cheese Maker, John Mills, agrees that it takes hard work in creating a consistently good finished product. Mills recalls the many years of researching and studying cooking techniques, “I wanted to make a really good finished product I’m proud of. The timing of the cooking process, just the matter of minutes, makes all the difference and the texture and mouth feel, it almost melts in your mouth”.
