The Kiwanis Club of Redmond has awarded college scholarships totaling $16,750 to 12 graduating seniors from Redmond’s three public high schools.
At Redmond Proficiency Academy, Katie Bullock received two scholarships totaling $2,000 and Hannah Dougill $1,000.
At Ridgeview High School recipients are Tiffany Brown, $2,000; Brittany Greener $1,500 and $1,000; Nathan Hearing, $500; Tate Lighthall, $1,500 and $500; Lisa Michaels, $2,000, Zachary Nelson, $1,250; and Stephanie Purkey, $750.At Redmond High School, Argyrios Kitchin was awarded $500; Anna Land $1,250 and Bradi Wood a $1,000 renewable scholarship.
Kiwanis has been serving Redmond since 1937, and most of its projects benefit the youth of the community. Events such as the vintner’s dinner in the spring, golf tournament with REACH in July, and Oktoberfest in the fall generate funds for the scholarships.
