A CROP free farm tour is on Saturday, July 8 at Bluestone Natural Farms, 12555 SW Hwy. 126, Powell Butte from 10am to 2pm. Piglets and baby goats will be a hit with all ages. Enjoy live music, a view of the Cascade Peaks while meeting local producers at the pop-up farmers market.
CROP Farm Tours are free, on-farm events where families can experience Central Oregon farming and ranching. Passports are available for attendees. Collect 7 stamps from the various host farms and venues to be entered to win a basket of local products.
CROP Farm Tours are a project of the Crook County Small Farm Alliance and the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance (HDFFA).
HDFFA is a 501(c)3 non-profit serving Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties. Their mission is to support a community-based food system in Central Oregon to increase access to fresh healthy food, support sustainable farm land use, and foster relationships among farmers and consumers.
