Arrested Driver-MATHEWS,BRADFORD (26yr) from Prineville, OR
CHARGES: DUI, Reckless Driving, Driving While suspended -Misd
Vehicle- 2006 Land Rover
On 8/4/17 at approximately the Deschutes County Dispatch received a call of a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Smith Rock State Park.
When deputies arrived on scene there was a 2006 Land Rover that struck a power pole breaking it off with power-lines in the middle of the roadway.
It was determined through their investigation the driver Bradford Matthews lost control of the vehicle going off the roadway and striking the power pole. Matthews was uninjured and needed no medical treatment.
Pacific power came out to the scene to repair the down power-lines in the roadway. The roadway was reopened after approximately two hours.
Matthews was arrested for driving under the influence,Reckless Driving, Driving While suspended -Misd. Matthews was lodged in the Deschutes County Jail.
This case is still under investigation
