Redmond High’s swim teams came away from their final tuneups for the Intermountain Conference district meet with a split against rival Ridgeview.

The Panther boys defeated Ridgeview 97-49, while the Ridgeview girls narrowly won 74-73 in the Feb. 1 R-Town Rivalry.

The Redmond 200 freestyle and 400 medley relay team of Augie Tobish, Alex Smith, Jacob Crumine and Logan Noble won, while Noble (200 freestyle and 100 butterfly), Tobish (50 freestyle and 100 backstroke) and Smith (100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke) also added two individual victories apiece.

The Ridgeview 400 freestyle relay team of Ben Hucke, Andy Cook, Hudson Harbolt and Chance Jones won, while Hucke added a victory in the 200 individual medley.

On the girls side, the Ridgeview relay team of Tristy Osbon, Jaime Tracewell, Jillian Ferraro and Aria Mascall won the 200 medley and 400 freestyle events, while Tracewell won the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley, Mascall took the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke and Osbon won the 200 freestyle.

The Redmond team of Mackenzie Carlson, Hailey Gieschen, Whitney Gieschen and Caitlyn Owen won the 200 freestyle relay, while Whitney Gieschen won the 100 freestyle and Owen won the 100 breaststroke.

The district meet takes place Friday and Saturday at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center in Bend.
