Isaac Buerger, Ridgeview golf — The defending Class 5A state individual champion shot 73 to tie for first at the April 6 Raven Rumble at Eagle Crest, then shot 71 to finish first by himself April 9 at Bend Golf Club.
Female athlete of the week
Kim Roberts, Redmond track — Roberts won the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:49.31 to help the Panthers to a third-place finish at the April 7 Sandy Invitational.
Game of the week
Softball; Ridgeview 15, Summit 0 — The April 6 victory finished off a three-game sweep of last week’s series, in which the Ravens outscored the Storm 53-3.

Ridgeview shot 353 to finish fifth and Redmond shot 396 to finish 11th in the 13-team Raven Rumble at Eagle Crest’s Ridge Course. Summit (309) finished first. Ridgeview’s Isaac Buerger tied for first, individually, with William Fleck of Summit at 73. Hayden Perry, Redmond’s top finisher, shot 89 to finish tied for 23rd.
Ridgeview shot 425 to finish fifth and Redmond shot 499 to finish tied for 11th in the 12-team Ridgeview Invitational at Juniper Golf Course. Bend was first at 377. Ridgeview’s top finisher was 14th-place Sage Schull, who shot 96, while Redmond’s Elizabeth Roundtree (116) was 34th.
Ridgeview 4, The Dalles 4 (Sets tied 8-8, games tied 67-67)
Ridgeview (63 points) finished third and Redmond (35) was eighth in the 15-team Sandy Invitational. Sandy won with 172 points.
Ridgeview (88 points) was second, while Redmond (64.5) was third in the 16-team Sandy Invitational. Hood River Valley (174) was first.
Ridgeview shot 362 to finish fourth and Redmond shot 389 to finish seventh in the nine-team Bend Boys Invitational. Ridgeview’s Isaac Buerger had the top individual score at 71, while Redmond’s Hayden Perry shot 85 to finish just out of the top 10. Summit (317) finished first.
Ridgeview shot 405 to finish third in the six-team Bend Invitational, which Bend (367) won. Sage Schull (92) was Ridgeview’s top individual scorer, finishing eighth, 11 shots behind Summit’s Olivia Loberg.
