April 4, 1918 — A very impressive service was held at Terrebonne last Sunday at 3 p.m., it is being held for the unveiling of the Service Flag.
The hall was filled to the door, when the service began. It opened by singing “America,” followed by prayer, and two special musical numbers were rendered.
Rev. Harry C. Hartranft of Bend gave a heart-stirring address when he placed the kaiser in his true light, and presenting the privilege and duty of the American people individually and nationally in a forcible manner, which was fully appreciated by all as manifested by the repeated applause.

April 1, 1943 — Redmond and surrounding communities went over the top in the 1943 Red Cross war fund drive with a grand total of $2310, report Marvin Davidson and Milton L. Odem, co-chairman.
Contributions Wednesday by the Oromite company, which turned in $113 subscribed by its employees, and Halvorson Construction company, $123, gave assurance that the quota would be met and bettered by closing time Wednesday night.

April 3, 1968 — Fourteen outstanding typing students from Redmond High School will compete with 56 other Central Oregon high school students Saturday in the second annual Central Oregon Community College typing tournament.
The 70 finalists, representing Redmond, Bend, Crook County, Madras, Culver and Gilchrist high schools, were selected from more than 700 students enrolled in Central Oregon high school typing classes.

April 7, 1993 — The Bureau of Land Management has released a draft environmental assessment for public review concerning a proposal for a shooting range facility. The site is about 25 miles east of Bend and north of Highway 20, in the vicinity of Millican Valley.
