Why did Redmond School District’s bond fail?

I believe the district’s arrogance is part of the reason.

I live in Cook Crossing senior apartment building directly across SW Veterans Way from Lynch Elementary and Obsidian Middle schools.

On three consecutive days prior to the election, district staff blasted music across the football field as students circled the track.

On one of those days, the barrage went on for five hours and included staff yelling through a bullhorn.

I’m 68 and have supported every previous school bond since I was old enough to vote, but not this time.

I’ll continue to vote against RSD’s bonds until district officials realize they have a responsibility to be respectful of their neighbors. It’s a two-way street.
