Are you an avid fantasy or science fiction fan? If so, one of the biggest frustrations is waiting for the next book in a series to come out. (“Game of Thrones,” anyone?)

For some teen series, though, the next book is ready! Here is a short list of series titles that are currently at the top of my lists for young adults and fans of YA literature.

“Vow of Thieves” by Mary E. Pearson

Sequel to: “Dance of Thieves” and set in the same world as “The Remnant Chronicles,” available now

Kazi and Jase return to Tor’s Watch and are immediately set upon by destructive forces. Separated and fearing for each others’ survival they must make odd alliances with unexpected individuals to stay alive, save their peoples’ lives, and maintain their vows to each other.

“Courting Darkness” by Robin LaFevers

Part of the “His Fair Assassins” series, available now

Members of the St. Mortain convent are set astray after the god of death leaves them untethered to his gifts. Sybella must navigate the French Court and its deadly intrigues.

“Lady Smoke” by Laura Sebastian

Sequel to: “The Ash Princess,” available now

Theodosia must find allies that will help her reclaim her throne from conquering Kalovaxians who have brutally enslaved her people. The surest route to military support is through marriage, but following that path would upend her country’s law that the ruler does not take a spouse.

“Children of Virtue and Vengeance” by Tomi Adeyemi

Sequel to: “Children of Blood and Bone,” available December 3rd

This title is not yet available, but based on the first in the series, I am sure it will be a hot item. Get in the hold line now!
