Bus service

Two fixed-route bus companies provide daily service to Portland and Salem. Central Oregon Breeze (www.cobreeze.com, 541-389-7469) runs from the Redmond Airport to Portland daily, twice on Fridays, including stops at Portland International Airport, Union Station and the Gresham MAX train stop. Greyhound (www.greyhound.com) does not come to Redmond but provides daily service from Bend to Salem via Eugene.

Redmond has no fixed route bus system in town, but Cascades East Transit operates a regional system, offering buses from Redmond to Bend, Sisters, Prineville, and Madras multiple times a day. Buses leave the transit hub in Redmond, 777 SW Kalama Ave. See schedules at www.cascadeseasttransit.com. An on-demand transit bus is available for trips within Redmond, with reservations. Call 541-385-8680 at least 24 hours in advance.

Road conditions: Information on state highway conditions and statewide webcams can be found at www.tripcheck.com or dial 511.
