RDM Holds TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event: Redmond Municipal Airport will enroll passengers in the TSA PreCheck expedited screening program weekdays from March 11-29. TSA PreCheck travelers are pre-screened low-risk travelers and do not need to remove liquids, laptops, light outerwear or belts during security screening, according to a press release from the airport. People interested in applying for the program may enroll by visiting and filling out an application to make an appointment for the Redmond airport screening. The application process must be completed in person at the time of the appointment in the main terminal of the Redmond airport, between the gift shop and the west airport entrance, with the required $85 fee (payable by credit card, money order or certified check) proof of identity and U.S. citizen documentation (such as a passport, birth certificate or driver’s license) and fingerprinting for a background check. Road Closure: SW Metolius Avenue will be closed between SW 23rd and SW 27th streets from Feb. 11 at 7am until April 5 for utility and road improvements. Sensory friendly showing of The Lego Movie 2: Central Oregon Disability Support Network is sponsoring a showing of The Lego Movie 2 at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Redmond Cinema for people with sensory sensitivity. The movie will run with lights slightly up, the sound turned down and no previews will be shown. For this showing, gluten-free, casein free snacks will be permitted from outside the theater. Redmond student named to Gonzaga dean’s list: Nicholas Nelson of Redmond has been named to the fall 2018 semester dean’s list at Gonzaga University in Spokane. The achievement requires a grade-point-average of between 3.5 and 3.84.
