Airman From Redmond graduates basic training: Air Force Airman Dakota W. Landen, who is a 2010 graduate of Redmond High School, recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas, according to a news release. He completed an eight-week program that includes training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. He also earned four credit hours toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Landen is the son of Colleen Landen of Palm Bay, Fla., and Clay L. Landen of Redmond.

RPA students to release album: High school students at Redmond Proficiency Academy will release “The Evergreen Sessions,” an eclectic album of original music in January. “We’re excited to release this album showcasing the hard work and talent of our students,” said Jonathan Moore, RPA High School music director. “RPA prides itself on offering real-world learning opportunities for its students. Our music collective provides training in all areas of the music business from performance to marketing and sound engineering.” The album will be available at rpa-music.bandcamp.com.
