Male athlete of the week
Joseph Martin, Ridgeview wrestling — Martin took home the Ravens’ only title at the Intermountain Conference District Championships at 220 pounds.
Female athlete of the week
McKaylie Capps, Redmond basketball — The senior scored 24 points in leading the Panthers to a 63-37 victory against Crook County Feb. 5. Redmond High’s Feb. 8 basketball games were postponed because of weather conditions.
Game of the week
Intermountain Conference District Swimming Championships — Behind two individual victories from freshman Ryan Konop, Redmond edged out Pendleton for the title. They move on to Friday and Saturday’s Class 5A state meet in Beaverton.
What to watch for
Basketball (hopefully) — With both Redmond and Ridgeview canceling games last week and more snow in the forecast, teams are hoping to get back on the court this week.

Redmond, with 101 points, defeated Pendleton by two to take the five-team Intermountain Conference District Championships in Hood River. Ridgeview was fourth with 51 points.
Ridgeview, with 32 points, was fourth and Redmond, with 29 points, was fifth in the five-team Intermountain Conference District Championships in Hood River. Hood River Valley won with 134 points.
Redmond, with 257 points, was third and Ridgeview, with 124.5 points, was fourth in the six-team Intermountain Conference District Championships in Pendleton. Crook County won with 408 points.
