Isaac Buerger, Ridgeview golf — The senior finished first individually with a score of 71 at the April 5 Central Oregon Classic in Prineville.

Female athlete of the week

Ellie Corwin, Redmond track — Corwin finished first in shot put and second in javelin at the April 3 four-team meet, then had fifth-place finishes in both events April 6 at the Sandy Invitational.

Game of the week

Girls golf, Eagle Crest Invite — Redmond finished fifth and Ridgeview sixth in the 11-team event, which brought teams from across the state to the resort west of Redmond, putting an official end to the snow that forced teams indoors for weeks.

What to watch for

League baseball — Intermountain Conference play starts up this week with Redmond playing at doubleheader at The Dalles Friday, while Ridgeview plays host to Hood River Valley.

Ridgeview (357) was fourth, while Redmond (384) was sixth in the seven-team Central Oregon Classic at Meadow Lakes in Prineville. Summit’s “A” team (310) finished first. Ridgeview’s Isaac Buerger show 71 to lead individuals, while Emmett Hagen (88) led Redmond.

Girls golf

Redmond (409) was fifth and Ridgeview (417) was sixth in the 11-team Eagle Crest Invite, which Valley Catholic (348) won. Tabitha Carson (92) led Redmond, while Ayla Adkins (99) was Ridgeview’s low scorer.
