Pickleball: For ages 18 and up. Redmond Area Park and Recreation District is offering different levels of pickleball classes Tuesday at Sam Johnson Park. The cost is $20. Call 541-548-7275 or visit for more information.

Monday in the Park: For third-fifth graders. Each Monday in the summer, RAPRD will have arts and crafts at the Sam Johnson Park pavilion, before moving to the Cascade Swim Center for recreation swim. Students should bring a water bottle, swimsuit and optional sack lunch (Sam Johnson is a free lunch site). The day starts at 10 a.m. and wraps up at 3 p.m. The cost is $20. RiverQuest: For third-fifth graders. The free class features guest speakers and exploring areas of the Deschutes River watershed to see how it works and impacts lives. The session on Fireman’s Pond or Shevlin Park is from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, with students being dropped off and picked up at RAPRD Activity Center. Preregistration is required. Bring your own boat kayaking: For all ages. Kayaking enthusiasts can practice in the Cascade Swim Center Pool from 5-7:30 p.m. Sunday for a $5 drop-in fee.
